Happy Chinese New Year – Year of the Goat/Sheep
According to Chinese astrology, each year (starting from Chinese New Year) is associated with an animal sign, occurring in a 12 year cycle.
In Cairns the start of 2015 has already seen a very different market. We have seen the market go through a tough period with Cairns being one of the last areas of Queensland to come off the GFC.
Cairns is at the start of the recovery stage and has been in that position for the past 12 to 18 months.
However, we are seeing positive continuing growth with airlines coming to Cairns and direct international flights from Cairns.
The lowering of the Australian dollar will also have an improved impact on tourism on which we so heavily rely and this should flow onto other sectors of Cairns’ economy.
We also expect to see an increase of foreign investment, particularly in newly built investment properties.
The combined above factors present a positive outlook for our residential property market.
